Well, it’s official. In just 13 days (OMG!!), I will be travelling to Toronto to have one, precious, teeny-tiny embryo implanted into my uterus.
This little embryo…this tiny little being, has no idea. No idea how much they are loved and wanted, by some pretty amazing people. No idea that a life of joy, laughter and unconditional love awaits them. No idea how many people came together to make this happen.
To think that this the beginning of a brand new life…it’s simply amazing. A new person will be born, and they will have the whole wide world in their hands. An opportunity to impact countless lives, an opportunity to change the world, an opportunity to be whoever they want. What a blessing.
Will they be a lawyer? A doctor? An artist? Maybe they’ll live in a van from the 60′s and travel the world, with nothing but a backpack and a sweet playlist to nourish the soul. Will they have brown hair? Blonde? Boy, or girl? Will they like tennis?
It’s all such a mystery. But one thing is known for sure, and that is that they will be cherished by many. It is so clear that a family with wholesome values, accepting hearts and more love to give than they can possibly contain is waiting for this little being. And when they arrive, their world will be changed forever.
I can’t wait to give that gift.
Not only will this tiny person change their lives, but ours as well. We will have lived a moment that very few ever will. A moment where an eternal gift is presented, and a family is born. What an honour.
So….here we go. It’s time to buckle our seatbelts and hang on tight, for the ride of a lifetime is about to begin! There’s no turning back now…just running full speed ahead, and diving head first!
Wish us luck…sticky vibes…positive mojo…whatever you can spare! Stick little bean, stick!!!
P.S. Many of you asked me how I decided to become a surrogate, and how I began the process. Quite honestly, it is something I first heard about as a teenager, and was instantly hooked. I stored it in the back of my mind until I knew I was done having my own babies, and then took the leap! After I connected with Sally, the owner of my surrogacy agency, it was a smooth and simple process. She is an open book, and guided me through each and every question and concern I had. If you are thinking about it, please do it. In this agency alone, there are 30 couples waiting on a surrogate. It is absolutely heartbreaking! If you would like more information, or would like to pick my brain about it, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Amanda@nestinginstinctkw.com
