Doula Services
As doulas, it is our job to support you and your family before, during, and after birth by providing emotional, physical, and informational support. Every woman has different expectations and requirements of her doula, so our services can be tailored to fit your needs. We attend births in and out of hospital, and we have positive relationships with our area’s care providers. We gladly doula for individuals from all “walks of Life”: young mothers, individuals making an adoption plan for their baby, families expecting a special needs child, families experiencing perinatal loss, survivors of sexual assault and birth trauma, folks with special religious and cultural needs…and anyone who needs a peaceful, loving, relaxed support person to guide them through the everyday miracles of that first special year of their baby’s life! If you are looking for a doula who is knowledgeable, confident in their abilities, who has a nurturing spirit, an easygoing personality, and a great sense of humour, please connect with us.
As a Labour Doula, we support women and their partners through the rollercoaster of labouring and giving birth. We can offer advice to make your labour progress naturally, and techniques for pain management, and effective pushing. Most importantly, we will advocate for you, encouraging you to be heard during this vulnerable time, and to be treated as an intelligent woman who knows what is best for her and her baby. After your birth, we offer assistance in developing a positive breastfeeding relationship, and anything else you may need
