As a woman in today’s modern society, you are expected to take on many responsibilities; mother, wife, house keeper, career woman and so much more. You work hard, and put a lot of effort into making sure your family is taken care of. You’re so busy taking care of everyone else, that you often neglect your own needs and desires.
Why not do something for yourself, for once?
Why not do something that fulfils your passions, and brings you happiness?
As Doulas, we are supporting and empowering women while satisfying our need to take care of others, and fulfilling our dreams of witnessing miracles and changing the world – one birth at a time.
We are a woman centred industry, run by professional women who strive to fight for women’s rights, and take back our health care. We offer compassion, education, and unconditional support to families during pregnancy, birth and beyond. We teach women and their partners to be active participants in their birth, giving them the tools they need to make decisions that they can feel confident about.
There are a plethora of Doula Training Programs across the world. How do you know which is the right choice for you?
Unlike many other training programs offered, our program is taught in-person, and now ONLINE, in small groups. We believe that learning to support women through pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period– arguably, one of the most important, life-changing, and vulnerable moments of their lives – is not something you can learn through a text book or computer screen. We invite you to consider a model of learning that is as ancient and timeless as birth itself: the tradition of learning birthing wisdom from one woman to another, side by side, where hands touch hands and hearts touch hearts. The real life stories and engaging discussions impart so much knowledge that simply cannot be captured by words on a page. It is these raw, emotional and inspirational conversations within dynamic groups that binds us all as wise women, healers of hearts, and sisters pursuing the calling of doula.
“I have just finished the in-class portion of my training journey to become a doula. What an amazing experience this has been so far! Amanda and Erin are both so passionate and full of knowledge it makes it easy to see why their business is flourishing. The small class size is perfect for such an intimate learning experience. The breadth of information given to doula students could feel overwhelmi…ng but because they are there mentoring you throughout the process it doesn’t feel overwheming at all.
I feel like I’ve been started out on an incredible journey into birth work and have been gifted my classmates and mentors to guide me along the way.“
At DOULASinc, our students are treated like family. We offer small, intimate classes so that you have the opportunity to connect with our team and the other students and create relationships to last a life time.
We’re not teaching you from a text book! We’re teaching real life skills, from personal experience and giving you the tools you need to be successful in your career. Our classes are filled with laughter, inspiration and encouragement…and, you can bet there will be a box of tissues on the table, because we’re always sure to share a few tears.

“If someone told me they, or someone they knew, were looking into the doula training program through The Nesting Instinct I would probably get all unnecessarily loud and excited. I can be very anxious about meeting new people and jumping into new things, but doula work has been something I’ve been toying with for some time. Amanda Schnarr was one of the only people who wrote back to my inquires personally. As Heather mentioned above they set you up with a mentor after, so even though it’s only a weekend, you’re not just left on your own to complete the rest of the work required to complete the program, which can be done at a very flexible pace. Trainer Beth Murch is just an incredible wealth of doula wisdom! Thank you ladies for creating such a personal and empowering course!”view more testimonials
