With the current rate of c-births as high as it is, more woman need to attempt a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) in order to return to physiological and vaginal birth. Luckily, the “completed” VBAC rate is increasing, and practitioners in this area are starting to become knowledgeable and open to the possibility, though some mothers still run into road blocks at every step.
Learn the basics of a VBAC, the facts about the real risks and rewards (as different from the stated, or scaremongered ones) and the factors that go into making it successful for a mother (and what out there can sabotage them). We’ll focus on language, and how to balance and reflect the mothers fears and anger in a positive way to move towards her advocating for herself with her care providers.
Most importantly we’ll cover about how to support a mother no matter what happens, help her process her fears, get past any labour “stalling” points and succeed no matter what the end result turns out to be. We’ll also have a successful VBA2C mama (and fellow doula) be available for questions in the last part of the evening.
Register by December 15th to receive the earlybird rate of $45.00
