In the fashion of keeping you up to date, it is my true honor to introduce you to the new home of The Nesting Instinct!
Somewhere along my journey to inner happiness, I realized that I had somehow consumed my entire life with material things. Spending money distracted me from life’s problems, and gave me that temporary, materialistic happiness that I spoke of yesterday. It wasn’t until I became a single mom on a budget that I realized I could be happy, maybe even happier, without all of the material things! Most of life’s blessings come for free, believe it or not. And, every day, I am recognizing more and more of them.
So, I made my resolution for 2014 quite simple; “To Live a Simple Life”.
In honour of that, here I am. Living in a 175 year old farm house, in the middle of nowhere, and loving every second of it. I wanted a place I could call both home, and work – and, this is it. I have said goodbye to our lovely office in Waterloo, and will be running The Nesting Instinct out of my home this year.
It is the perfect escape for hosting workshops, retreats, seminars and so much more. It’s a bit of a drive – about 20 mins from downtown Kitchener. But definitely worth it!
With 300 acres of natural landscape surrounding us, the possibilities are endless. A majestic river flows through the grounds, a bountiful garden of herbs and vegetables will be in bloom this spring, and the peace and serenity is here all year long.
I am so excited to start hosting events here, and would love your input on what you would like to see! Our future Doula Training Workshops will be held here, offering a sacred and serene space where women can share stories and experiences, learn from one another, and embark on this life-changing journey, in peace. But, what else would you like to see? A monthly birth group, where anyone interested in birth chatter could come gather around a blazing fire, snuggled up with some tea, and chat the night away? A prenatal group for mamas-to-be to connect and bond with one another? A breastfeeding café for mamas with nurslings to come out, and share stories and advice? We would love your input!
Love & Blessings,
